/ PROJECTS / THE GUARDIAN – Body of Architecture
Norbert Schoerner The Guardian – Body of Architecture in collaboration with Amanda Levete.

Amanda Levete writes:

“As an architect I am always aware of both the building as a kind of body, an outer skin that creates a form we inhabit, and the bodies themselves living and moving in space.”

“I wanted to ask where the body can be found in other art forms, to take our physical being as the way into a range of media outside of my own field. I was also interested to go beyond the arts and ask how our lives are lived in our changing bodies from birth to death”

“Norbert Schoerner and I chose the photographs together from his unpublished archive. By juxtaposition they explore the obvious and subtle metaphors that touch both body and structure”
